General letters are limited to 250 words. Election letters are limited to 150 words. The deadline for election letters related to the April 2 election is 5 p.m. on Friday, March 22nd. Letters from candidates or their immediate family members are not permitted. All letters must be civil in tone; personal attacks and name-calling are not permitted. We do not publish letters from outside our circulation area. A minimum of 30 days must lapse between publications of individual letters.
